Debt repayments show decline

Consumer debtors were having a more difficult time paying their past due bills in November than in either September or October, according to the American Collectors Association index.

The index, which measures the rate at which consumers are making payments to ACA member collection services on past due accounts covering all types of consumer goods and services, went down from 100.65 in September (1967in October to 96.94 in November
