Monitor news heard over 300 stations

The Christian Science Monitor Radio News Service has signed its 300th client station. It is KXRT-FM in Taos, New Mexico. The station now joins a nationwide network of AM and FM outlets that broadcast articles that originally appeared in The Christian Science Monitor. The total audience is estimated at 6.2 million listeners.

Radio News Service clients receive a tape of 20 news and feature stories every week.The stories range in length from 45 to 120 seconds, and they deal with a variety of subjects including energy, the economy, and the environment.

On April 4, the Radio News Service will be three years old.
