Arab airlines cut a tie of dependence on West

Ten Arab airlines are setting up a central computerized reservations system in Bahrain to end dependence on European and US airline computers. The $30 million to $40 million system will take 30 months to build. At present, only one airline, Gulf Air, has a computer system.
