Soviet nonmilitary experts driven from Afghanistan?

Muslim guerrilla warfare has driven all Soviet and Eastern European technical experts out of Afghanistan, although Soviet military advisers are still active in the country, reports from Kabul said Sunday. Anti-Soviet activity has spread to most Afghan cities and the countryside since Moscow poured 80,000 Russian troops into the central Asian country to back up the coup last year. Soviet technicians were involved in projects such as the construction of three giant textile mills in southeastern Kandahar Province, the western state of Herat, and Balkh Province, bordering the Soviet Union in the north, the Press Trust of India said.
