Our name is about honesty. The Monitor is owned by The Christian Science Church, and we’ve always been transparent about that.

United States Steel Corporation announced Monday it will shut down most of its South Works operations here for two weeks starting June 29 because of a sharp decline in orders. Three thousand workers will be temporarily laid off.
