Battle erupts in Cambodia near Khmer Route camp

Heavy fighting broke out Tuesday inside Cambodia near a base area of guerrillas loyal to the ousted Khmer Rouge regime, south of the Thai frontier town of Aranyaprathet, relief agency sources said. They said the fighting appeared to be raging about 10 miles from the Thai border around the Phnom Malai Hills, about 180 miles east of here. No other details were immediately available.
