Monsoon floods in India have destroyed property and crops in 11 states and killed 285 people, India's irrigation minister said Tuesday. More than 350 villages have been cut off and 500 houses have collapsed. In northern Uttar Pradesh, one of the worst-hit states, more than 1 million people are affected, the Press Trust of India news agency reported.
