Peru's President Fernando Belaunde Terry, overthrown in a 1968 coup, began a new term in office Tuesday, ending 12 years of military rule. The American-educated architect was sworn in Monday at a ceremony attended by the American First Lady, Rosalyn Carter, and guests from 100 nations.
