Two journalists freed in Tehran pending inquiry

Tony Alla way of The Times of London and Ralph Joseph, a Pakistani journalist , who were held incommunicado for 17 days by the revolutionary authorities, were released over the weekend on condition that theynot leave Iran. They were also told not to work until investigations were concluded, although they were not told why they had been arrested. The two journalists run news translation services of the Persian press which are widely distributed to embassies and the foreign community.
