Tropical storm Jeanne surprised forecaster and grew to hurricane force Tuesday in the Gulf of Mexico -- the first November hurricane in the area in 55 years. However, forecasters Tuesday said Jeanne was not expected to strengthen further "at this time" or pose any immediate threat to land.
