Home Thoughts from Nevada

Blue is the color of farness here, where the closer hills are brown, and then, receding, gain a tinge Of purple -- farther on jut up as blues -- beyond which, where the sky arcs out in azure haze, stars lie hidden by its light that clamps a top of distanc eon prception's range. But thoughts of your blue eyes have grown from thoughts of farness to the focus where our wishes gather, gain an atmosphere, sit solid as a construct to be seen, assemble as agreements, our exchange of trusts made home -- to our proof of hope. And I envision our next embrace, when, ear to ear, the blueness, even of eyes, will disappear.
