As Time and Again Testified to

Caused to behold I have found in deserts watered gardens, all leafed and fruited Or, if detained by malevolent forces, furnished chambers, to wait in elated Even if cast into pits or abysses And there, without recourse, left to perish How -- as if sheltered in temple precincts -- All night long I have confidently rested: Praising the pause thus allowed for remembering what miracle-yield!
