IRA 'lifer' ordered freed from an Ulster prison

The British government ordered the release of an Irish woman guerrilla serving life imprisonment for bombing attacks, but denied that its clemency was a gesture to persuade hunger striker Bobby Sands to call off his 53-day fast.
