Taking a Risk

April buds, like snake heads are flicking tongues: jaundiced, aware of ice before and after green, I feel there's only a hairline between Eden, exile. Yet as I stare at buds slipping into skins lustrous as first love the child in me suddenly remembers how to nest in the mouth of danger.
