Vice-President Bush has another new role -- economic summit planner. This summer the annual get-together will find President Reagan sitting down with leaders of six other major Western powers in Ottawa. White House planning was to have been headed by Myer Rashish, under-secretary of state-designate for economic affairs.

In fact, says a top administration aide, Bush has been given the job, although Rashish is still officially in charge. Just six weeks ago, amid a flurry of controversy, Bush was named to head the administration's international crisis management team.

Part of the Bush-Rashish task will be to work up some good explanations of Reagan supply-side economics. Skeptical US allies want to he ar more from the President himself about what his policies will mean to them.m
