US begins hunting people for possible draft boards

President Reagan is committed to a voluntary military, but the Selective Service System is launching a nationwide search for civilians to serve on draft boards -- in case such boards ever have to be set up again.

"We will be looking for about 10,000 board members for the country as a whole ," F. Brayton Harris, Selective Service assistant director, said.

Applicants must be between 18 and 60 and not now in the ar med forces, although veterans are eligible.
