Diablo plant 'blockaded' despite many arrests

With more than 800 people already jailed, antinuclear protesters resumed their Diablo Canyon "blockade" for a third day Thursday, but sheriff's deputies arrested 25 more -- including three news reporters -- to open the way for workers to enter the site.

The first 200 of the arrested demonstrators were to be arraigned and authorities said they would be offered freedom on bail if they promised not to return to the demonstration -- with contempt of court charges facing any who break the promise.
