Fire in transit system upsets Boston rush hour

Tens of thousands of Boston commuters were stranded in the rain when the mass transit system was paralyzed by a suspicious fire that knocked out communications and power just before rush hour Monday. Many of the 300,000 commuters who normally use the subway during morning rush hour were delayed going to work or sought alternate transportation.
