Small computers gaining

The small computer market is growing up. Despite uncertain economic conditions, growth of the small computer industry during the next 12 months is projected at just under 25 percent, according to a Datamation magazine survey of 6,000 user companies.

New users continue to be a strong source of minicomputer business growth, though this year's figures show a slowing of the trend. Tandem Computers and Texas Instruments, two companies relatively new to the market, were the strongest gainers of business from new buyers.
