Rabbit killing in Idaho irks conservationists

Conservationists are threatening to boycott Idaho farm products in their anger at the slaughter of 17,000 rabbits which farmers say have damaged $5 million in crops this year. They want a more humane way to get rid of the creatures.

Michael Bailey of the Fund for Animals observed Saturday's slaughter, and said he saw ''uncontrolled mobs of people running around with sticks, clubs, and golf clubs.''
