Mexico recalls US envoy over shift on immigration

Mexico called home its Washington ambassador for consultations over a recent change in US immigration policy that will affect thousands of Mexicans in the United States, the Los Angeles Times reports.

The move is apparently a way of expressing displeasure over a sudden decision that will cause many Mexicans to lose their legal status in the US and make them vulnerable to deportation.
