* There's little more fun in Neighbors, John Belushi's latest effort to make a big splash in the movies. He has some effective moments, in a bull-in-china-shop way, as a home-loving suburbanite plunged into chaos by the new folks on the block. But his costars, including Dan Aykroyd, rarely hit more than one note from the first scene to the last. The frequently vulgar screenplay is adapted from Thomas Berger's novel of the same name, which is equally lightweight but has a verbal grace that is never matched by John G. Avildsen's noisy directing style.
