Dense cloud over Pacific; Mexican volcano is cited

A volcanic dust cloud 140 times as dense as the one detected over Hawaii from the eruption of the Mt. St. Helen's two years ago has been observed over the Pacific, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration said. The source of the cloud is believed to be the Mexican volcano El Chichon.
