Our name is about honesty. The Monitor is owned by The Christian Science Church, and we’ve always been transparent about that.

Soviet trade with the United States almost doubled in the first quarter of 1982, compared with the same period last year, because of resumed US grain sales.
Ministry of Foreign Trade figures showed US-Soviet trade rose to $1.37 billion, $1.32 billion of that in US imports. Soviet trade worldwide rose almost 13 percent, to $39.3 billion.
