Latin neighbors planning to help Argentine trade

Eleven Latin American countries will apparently help Argentina boost its exports to compensate for economic sanctions imposed by the European Community and the United States during the Falklands crisis, Argentine officials said at a two-day meeting here of the Association for Latin American Integration.

Talks aimed at matching Argentina's exportable surpluses with the import needs of association members were ''very satisfactory,'' delegates said. Argentina lost between $200 million and $250 million because of trade sanctions imposed April 17.
