20-cent stamp will hold until 1984, Bolger says

Postmaster General William Bolger says his department has a $662 million surplus and the 20-cent first-class postage stamp will hold until at least early 1984 - perhaps longer.

He would not predict what the denomination of the next generation of first-class stamp would be. Mr. Bolger was here to address 2,500 delegates attending the National Association of Postal Supervisors.
