House, Senate to iron out military construction bill

The House approved a $7.5 billion military construction bill which has the administration's backing but must still be reconciled with the Senate's $6.4 billion version.

Senate and House negotiators will meet to work out a compromise between their bills. The action came after the lawmakers criticized NATO allies for not spending more on their own defense.
