A GOP candidate disrupts pep rally in White House

Dissension in the GOP ranks showed up during a preelection pep talk President Reagan gave 74 GOP candidates at the White House Wednesday.

The East Room meeting was disrupted when Gary Arnold, a candidate from California, leaped to his feet, shook off the grasp of several colleagues, and accused the President of betraying his conservative credentials by pushing through Congress ''the biggest tax hike in history,'' abandoning Taiwan to the Communists, and filling his administration with liberals.
