South Africa arrests white right-wing extremists

In a sudden move, South African security police arrested the leader and eight members of the Afrikaner Resistance Movement, a white right-wing extremist organization. The police reportedly seized arms, ammunition, and explosives throughout South Africa.
The men reportedly being held under the Internal Security Act were Eugene Terreblanche, a farmer who heads the resistance movement, and some of his associates.
In a separate report, military intelligence sources in Pretoria said four high-ranking leaders of the banned African National Congress, one of them a woman, were killed in South Africa's Dec. 9 raid into Lesotho.
