Brazilian official confident private loans will come

Planning Minister Antonio Delfim Netto said Brazil would achieve its aim of getting international banks to put up a new $4.4 billion loan and refinance $4 billion of debt falling due next year. He called the creditors' meeting in New York ''very positive,'' and said there would be no renegotiation.

New York banking sources said Wednesday the overall response to the Brazilian request had been favorable, but added that much work remained to be done and it would be optimistic to expect acceptance in principle of the proposal by the end of the year.
