US to go through courts on Atlantic oil leases

The Interior Department postponed indefinitely the planned auction of oil and gas leases in the Georges Bank area of the North Atlantic. The department said it wouldn't make an emergency appeal of the preliminary injunction issued against the sale by a federal district court in Boston. Instead, it said it would pursue the issue through the normal court process.
