More emergency famine relief for Ethiopia was approved by the European Parliament after it was assured there was no fraud in past aid programs. The drought in northern Ethiopia is the country's worst in 10 years, and has forced some farmers to eat seeds instead of planting new crops, an aid official said. Meanwhile, Ethiopia and Somalia traded charges of preparing to attack each other. Somalia this week put its armed forces on full alert.
