Poles boycott meeting of UN labor organization

Poland boycotted the International Labor Organization's annual conference. It threatened to quit the UN agency because of alleged interference in Polish domestic affairs.

A note from the Warsaw military leadership said Poland was shunning the three-week meeting because the organization was planning an inquiry into trade union rights in Poland.
