Japanese lantern moon

Last night The big orange moon was sitting on the ocean Like a Japanese lantern All ready for a party. In the twinkling of a moonbeam The fish were ready too, Coming through gold water In their best fins and tuckers, To play in the moonlight And eat plankton and dance. Some gay young squid Suggested playing leap-fish, So they all came flying From the bright water, Through the orange light, Leaping, leaping, leaping Till they grew tired. Then they tried to nibble the moon, But the moon said, ''Enough! I must be on my way To climb high in the sky.'' ''Oh, come again soon,'' The fish sang in chorus, ''We want another party.'' ''I'll come again soon,'' Said the moon.
