Benjamin Hooks says he opposes having a black enter the Democratic presidential primaries. He fears such a candidacy would fail and alienate the party's eventual 1984 candidate. The head of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People said in a CBS interview that blacks' first priority should be to vote President Reagan out of the White House.
