Does moonlight suffice?

After listening to the silent swaying of an olive branch the gaps of creation and a galloping horse a marvelous woman read my face and, seeing knotted lines on its surface as smooth as silk, She wondered what I wanted from moonlight. And I? How can I ask for the moon's glow which the moon lacks itself?

Translated from the Serbo-Croat by Herbert Kuhner
