Looting in Brazil's stores enters second month

Supermarket managers here and in Sao Paulo have taken to keeping pistols in their belts to fend off potential looters as a nationwide wave of store ransacking entered its second month this weekend. In Sao Paulo alone, there were 52 store lootings in the last 11 days of September. Even much needed heavy rains in Brazil's northeast failed to deter angry crowds of looters from sacking stores in that part of the country last week.
