N. Korean soldier pleads guilty to Burma bombing

A North Korean Army captain pleaded guilty Tuesday to murder charges for setting a bomb Oct. 9 that killed 21 people, including four South Korean Cabinet members, in an attempt to assassinate South Korean President Chun Doo Hwan.

A codefendant in the case, a North Korean Army major, refused to make a plea. The court said it would announce a verdict Friday.
