North Korea repeats call for talks on reunification

North Korea Wednesday repeated its proposal for tripartite talks with the US and South Korea to discuss a peace treaty between the Koreas and reunification of the divided peninsula, the North Korean Central News Agency reported. South Korea immediately rejected the offer.

In Washington Tuesday night, President Reagan suggested that talks on the Korean situation should be held among the two Koreas, the US, and China. Mr. Reagan, questioned by a reporter after a White House dinner for Chinese Premier Zhao Ziyang, said the two had discussed the North Korean proposal.
