Egyptian President in US in peace role
President Hosni Mubarak will visit Washington this week in an effort to boost the faltering Middle East peace effort, diplomatic sources said Sunday. White House aides indicated Mr. Reagan would probably see Mr. Mubarak after the US President returns to Washington from the West Coast next Sunday.
The presence of Jordan's King Hussein in the United States for medical care gave rise to speculation that Mr. Mubarak or Mr. Reagan (or both) might meet the Jordanian monarch.
