Stronger Syrian-Soviet ties aired in visit to Damascus

Soviet First Deputy Premier Geidar A. Aliyev left Damascus Tuesday for Moscow after a three-day visit, during which he had two extensive rounds of talks with Syrian President Hafez Assad.

A presidential palace spokesman said they discussed strengthening ties between the two countries and expressed identical views on Soviet-Syrian relations and the Middle East situation.

Mr. Aliyev praised Syrian policies in the Middle East and expressed ''full support for Syria,'' the spokesman said.
