Wholesale price rise slows in February

Wholesale prices rose 0.4 percent in February, largely because of food and energy costs, the Labor Department reported Friday. The increase in the producer price index for finished goods, seasonally adjusted, was smaller than its 0.6 percent rise in January. Even so, these two months have seen the first substantial rises in the index after a year of very little increase.
