News media from abroad disruptive, Marcos says
President Ferdinand E. Marcos accused American, British, and other foreign news media Monday of trying to destabilize his government. He said the Western press had become ''active participants in our political process.''
A news release from the presidential palace quoted Mr. Marcos as telling foreign journalists to ''stop serving as the tools and lackeys of the communists and the opposition'' and to observe ''honesty, fair play, and objectivity.''
Marcos accused the American media of having delivered Vietnam to the communists and said they now wanted to do the same thing with his country. This, he said, he would not allow to happen.
