Delay reported in building of new Siberian railway

Difficulties in forcing tunnels through Siberian mountains are holding up the final stages of the new, more northerly trans-Siberian railway, due for completion this autumn, the official daily, Pravda, said Friday. The railway line from Lake Baikal to the Amur River is due to be opened in time for the Nov. 7 anniversary of the Russian Revolution.
