Senate backs school OK for student religious role

The Senate voted 88 to 11 Wednesday to allow student religious meetings in public high schools before or after regular school hours. The measure's fate, however, appeared clouded by a Reagan administration request to include a proposed subminimum wage for teen-agers in the same legislation. Opponents of a subminimum wage threatened to tie up the Senate in prolonged debate.
