Article by Sakharov run in Soviet physics journal
A Soviet physics journal has published an article by exiled dissident Andrei Sakharov, and Western diplomats said its appearance could be intended as a gesture of sympathy from some of his colleagues.
A contribution by Dr. Sakharov dealing with astrophysics appeared in the August issue of the journal Experimental and Theoretical Physics, titled ''Cosmological Transfer With Change in the Characteristics of the Metrics.'' It had been submitted to the magazine March 14.
The West German daily newspaper Bild, quoting Soviet journalist Victor Louis, reported Tuesday that Sakharov had been released from the hospital and joined his wife, Yelena Bonner, in their apartment in Gorky.
