Harris says Reagan's lead is 13 points but will narrow

Pollster Louis Harris reported Tuesday that President Reagan leads Walter Mondale by 13 percentage points, but he predicted the gap will narrow by election day.

Releasing figures from a poll taken early this month, Harris said Mr. Mondale has closed to within two percentage points in California but is far behind throughout the South.
