Chinese and Soviets to begin new talks to ease relations

The fifth round of talks on easing strained relations between China and the Soviet Union will resume next Thursday in Peking, the Chinese Foreign Ministry announced Wednesday. They will be led by Chinese Vice-Foreign Minister Qian Qichen and his Soviet counterpart, Leonid Ilyichev.
