Stalin's daughter Svetlana returns to the Soviet Union

Svetlana Alliluyeva, the daughter of Soviet dictator Josef Stalin, has returned to the Soviet Union 17 years after defecting to the West. The Soviet government announced citizenship has been restored to one ''S.I. Alliluyeva'' (the last name is her mother's maiden name) and her 13-year-old daughter, Olga. Olga reportedly argued with her mother in their Cambridge, England apartment the night before they left, saying ''Why didn't you discuss it with me?''
