Reactor 1 at Diabo Canyon is back in partial operation
The Diablo Canyon nuclear plant's No. 1 reactor, shut down last week, has resumed operating at 30 percent capacity, officials said Tuesday. Pacific Gas & Electric spokesman Ron Weinberg said the power level would go no higher until additional tests were completed.
The automatic shutdown Saturday followed an electrical malfunction in a computerized control system for the units turbine generator.
